Top 25 Jobs

In order to figure out where to look for jobs or plan for what you want to do in the future, it helps to have some important information about what jobs are hot.

Check out the WDC's State of the Workforce: Job Outlook 2008 to learn about the types of industries that are growing and how our local economy is doing. The Outlook lists top job openings by title for King County and also describes the education requirements for these positions as well as previous job experience needed. For example, the higher the percentage, the more likely an employer will require more than a GED.

There are lots of entry level jobs in high demand! Some of the highest job vacancies are in cashiering, waitressing, package handling, and retail sales— to name a few.
